Curriculum

The older children are divided into three groups based on their age as of September 1st: two-and-a-half year-olds (2-1/2's); three year-olds (3's); and four to six year-olds (4–6's). Each class will spend several sessions actively exploring major Bible stories or themes.

11/11/10	A Thankful Thanksgiving	Preschool children will give thanks, as the pilgrims did, for blessings in their lives. (Thanksgiving craft)
12/09/10	Christmas Celebration	Preschool children will relate their own experiences with babies to the baby Jesus of long ago. (Make a Christmas gift to give to children in need.)
01/13/11	Being Kind/Using Manners	Preschool children will understand the importance of kindness and manners.
01/27/11	Loving Your Neighbor	Preschool children will learn how to be a good neighbor and treat each other with manners.
02/10/11	Who is God?	Preschool children will learn about God and how much he loves them.
02/24/11	Who is Jesus?	Preschool children will learn that Jesus is with them all the time.
03/09/11	Talking to God	Preschool children will understand what prayer is and that God hears their prayers.
03/23/11	Easter Celebration	Preschool children will learn more about Jesus and about Easter. (Easter craft)
04/13/11 04/27/11	Planting Seeds of Faith Being Careful with What We Say	Preschool children will learn practical ways to take care of God's Green Earth. (Earth Day) Preschool children will learn that God wants us to use our words to encourage, heal, praise and help and not for hurt or harm.
05/11/11	A Birthday Bonanza	Preschool children will celebrate EVERYONE’s birthday!
